Actor Steve Buscemi intervenes after bar fight in Dublin



Steve Buscemi “tried to help” break up a fight outside a bar in Dublin while taking a break from filming the latest season of Netflix's “Wednesday.”

Buscemi, famous for his roles in “The Big Lebowski” and “Reservoir Dogs,” had just finished lunch at Bubba's Fish Market in south Dublin on Saturday night when two men began fighting outside a nearby pub. Irish Independent Report.

The 66-year-old Brooklyn resident went unrecognized while dining — until he and others went to investigate the altercation.

“He was very close to the fight, but he restrained himself from stopping the fight. He stood over the man on the ground for a few seconds, and then the fight naturally stopped,” an eyewitness told the publication.

“Some people said he stopped the fight, but he didn't. He tried to help, which most people wouldn't do.”

After the fight was over he slipped around the corner and disappeared into the crowd.

Buscemi, who served as an FDNY firefighter during the 1980s, attacked at random In May, he was hit by a hard punch in Kips Bay that left his face and left eye swollen.

She has been spotted mostly around Dublin as she continues filming the next season of Tim Burton's “Wednesday.” Previous seasons were filmed in Romania, but this season moved to Ireland.

Buscemi is one of the newest additions to the cast and will make his debut as Barry Dort, the new principal of the show's Nevermoor Academy.
