Leo, which starred Thalapathy Vijay as the mysterious Parthi, emerged as the highest-grossing Tamil movie of 2023. Towards the end, Parthi reveals that he is, in fact, Leo. In the post-credits sequence, Leo gets a suspicious phone call from Vikram (Kamal Haasan), hinting at the probable interlaced storyline in the next instalment of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (Leo, Vikram, and Karthi starrer Kaithi).

5. Salaar
Clashing with Dunki at the box office didn’t deter Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire from earning big at the box office and becoming the highest-grossing Telugu movie of 2023. Given how Deva aka Salaar’s (Prabhas) Shouryaanga roots are revealed at the end of the movie, Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam will continue the story forward and delve into the fractured equation of friends-turned-enemies Deva and Vardha (Prithviraj Sukumaran). Reportedly the script is ready, with Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran reprising their roles.
