Promotion of Billie Eilish’s new album Hit Me Hard and Soft is still going very well, even months after the set was first released. The title’s second single, “Birds of a Feather,” has been a slow burn, gradually growing larger and more popular with each passing week. This frame, the tune is performing better than ever on a number of lists, and it seems like it’s ready to climb even higher.
“Birds of a Feather” reaches a new peak on four different Billboard charts this week. The track is surging when it comes to sales, radio play, and even streams, which means that Eilish has a certified blockbuster on her hands–again.
The Grammy winner’s latest focus hits No. 1 for the first time on one tally this frame. “Birds of a Feather” flaps its wings and rises to the highest rung on the Alternative Streaming Songs chart, where it gives the singer another ruler.
The same title nearly conquered the all-genre Digital Song Sales chart as well, though it misses out on the No. 1 spot by a single frame. After selling another 8,000 copies in the past tracking frame, according to Luminate, the tune rockets from No. 14 to No. 2.
Over on the Hot 100, “Birds of a Feather” is also sitting higher than it has in the past. Eilish’s single pushes from No. 7 to fifth place, which is a new peak for the song on the list of the most-consumed tracks in the country.
“Birds of a Feather” is also becoming a hit at pop radio, though it’s not yet risen quite as high as it has on some sales and streaming-only rosters. The single hits a new high on the Adult Pop Airplay list this period, where it improves its standing two spaces to land at No. 14.
At the same time, “Birds of a Feather” also returns to its previously-set high point on a number of other Billboard tallies. The single re-peaks on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs (No. 1), Streaming Songs (No. 4), and Pop Airplay (No. 8) rosters this frame.
