The proud mother said her daughter is now excited to do three things – do a hand stand, tie her shoes and ride her bike without any assistance.
Finn Jarvis, known as the “Boss of the Family”, was born without arms after his mother was involved in a car accident during her pregnancy.
His father Ben said, “Finn is a happy boy – he’s kind, fearless and extremely active.”
“Finn has always been encouraged to see things as a challenge when his weakness has posed a problem. They have always accepted it and won, even though they have had to compromise at times where others have not,” he added.
“Finn is very excited to have this opportunity and to see where and how it is going to change his life.”
Meanwhile, Zoe’s dad, Thomas, revealed his little girl was “jumping, screaming” after receiving the good news.
The family learned about the difference in their daughter’s organs during her 20-week scan.
“It was a very scary and emotional time, not knowing what was going to happen,” Thomas recalled.
“When Zoey was born she saw a lot of specialists but there’s no answer as to why this happened to Zoey, it’s just one of those things,” he said.
At the age of eight, Zoey has become a “very happy, caring, confident and adventurous little girl”, she said, who is active in her gymnastics club, learning swimming and jumping on the trampoline – but it also shared that she is “becoming more self-conscious” and resistant to receiving help from others.
“Zoey struggles with some everyday tasks like tying her laces, using a knife and fork, zipping up and carrying trays,” they shared – in addition to being able to do all of this, His next adventure will be to master the art of jumping rope.

Locky’s organization was able to raise approximately $50,000 from donors including The Open Bionics Foundation. They then raised $25,000 or more between the three families.
The proud mom called the project her “favorite thing” – bringing the kids together and being able to give them such a big opportunity.
“We’re hoping to run another campaign next year if any donors want to get involved to help,” Lockie said.
