Bryson DeChambeau’s Donald Trump video is exploding on YouTube

Bryson DeChambeau’s YouTube video with Donald Trump has been a huge hit.

As of Wednesday morning, 21 hours after the video of the two playing golf together was posted, it had already surpassed four million views, and the interest led to DeChambeau eclipsing one million subscribers on his channel.

The video was No. 1 on YouTube’s trending list Wednesday morning.

DeChambeau’s “Break 50” video with Trump, in which they tried to shoot a round of fewer than 50 strokes, was done to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project.

The duo ended up shooting exactly 50 from the red tees at Trump Bedminster, 22-under par.

It’s already the most-viewed video on DeChambeau’s channel, beating the three million views his nine-hole match against Phil Mickelson drew since it was posted last August.

At one point in the video after hitting a tee shot onto the green on a par 3, Trump mocked President Joe Biden, who on Sunday dropped out of the 2024 presidential race.

“You think Biden can do that? I don’t know. We had an argument about golf. Can you believe it?” Trump said, referencing the golf spat from their debate last month.

DeChambeau, 30, has been putting together videos for YouTube more frequently over the last couple of years as his profile has risen, and he’s turned himself into a fan favorite, as shown by the support he received when he won last month’s U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2, his second U.S. Open and second career major victory.

While DeChambeau, who left the PGA Tour for LIV Golf in 2022, missed the cut at last week’s British Open, he had a strong year at the majors, finishing tied for sixth at the Masters and second at the PGA Championship.

DeChambeau’s “Break 50” series has included videos with the likes of Sergio Garcia and influencer Paige Spiranac.
