The woman’s claim that Jay Z raped her when she was 13 is looking more and more unbelievable.
Media Take Out learned that the Alabama woman who accused Jay-Z and Diddy of assaulting her sat down with NBC News to recount what she called a “catastrophic event”: a white house Limo rides, a drink that left her intoxicated, sexual harassment by rap stars that would ruin her life.
But the woman and her lawyer also accept this There were some inconsistencies in his account in response to questions from NBC News.
The woman, identified as Jane Doe in the lawsuit filed against Jay-Z and Diddy, told NBC News, “I made some mistakes” in her memories of that night. The woman said that overall she stands by her allegations. Inconsistencies in her account of an incident that allegedly occurred 24 years ago do not mean that the allegations are false.
Among the discrepancies:
- The woman said her father took her away after the alleged sexual assault, but she says she does not remember it.
- The woman also claims that she spoke to celebrity Fred Durst at an after-party, where she said she was sexually assaulted, but Fred Durst was not in New York at the time.
- Images from that evening show Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, and Sean “Diddy” Combs in a different location than the one described by the woman, though their whereabouts for the entire evening are unclear.
“This incident did not happen, and yet they filed it in court and doubled down on it in the press,” Carter told NBC News in a statement Friday, referring to Tony Buzbee, one of the woman’s attorneys. Said. “True justice is coming. We fight to win, not to win. It was over before it even started. This 1-800 lawyer doesn’t realize it yet, but, soon.”
Buzbee says he is continuing to investigate her claims, suggesting he may drop the lawsuit.
