In March 2022, Netflix’s deal with the Daredevil franchise ended, and after that, Disney acquired the series. While fans were upset learning that no Daredevil content would be available on Netflix, they were also happy that at least they could look forward to watching their favorite Charlie Cox’s Daredevil on Disney Plus. However, there was still confusion among fans about how things would move forward in Daredevil: Born Again now that Disney will shape the hero in its own image.
Vincent D’Onofrio Addresses One Major Concern of the Fandom
Well, Daredevil is not considered the darkest superhero, but his story is still seen as something created for a mature audience. As we know, Disney Plus is more of a family-friendly platform, so it’s obvious why the majority of Daredevil fans didn’t shy away from showing disappointment when Disney took the rights to the series.
However, recently, Daredevil’s Wilson Fisk, aka. Vincent D’onofrio came up with a revelation that the fandom absolutely needed. He stated that we would get to witness the darkest things that were even lacking in Netflix’s Daredevil. He also added, “There’s one thing in particular that my character does that I can’t believe made it into the cut.”
While some fans are relieved to know that Disney will not ruin the violent theme of the franchise, several fans can’t believe anything until they witness what’s being said when the show finally arrives. For instance, an X user commented on the post, stating, “Your character killed a man with a car door, so nothing can ever pass that level of violence.” “They always say this, but a lot of times, it ends up not being all that big because they are actors, so to them, of course, it will be huge, and because of that, I will stay cautious with my expectations,” says another.

Is Daredevil: Born Again the Season 4 or Reboot
The Daredevil franchise has existed since 2003 when we first saw the blind superhero on big screens. However, the superhero’s rights were later acquired by Marvel and Netflix. In 2015, the streaming platform added the first Daredevil series to its massive library, and until 2018, it blessed us with three action-packed seasons. Now, fans are skeptical if Daredevil: Born Again will be the fourth season of the gritty series. On the other hand, several cinephiles also believed that Disney is rebooting the series, so it will surely be an entirely new thing.
To clarify, Charlie Cox himself opened up about it not being Season 4 despite the story picking up where the third season of the Netflix series left off. So, in a sense, it’s the fourth season, but at the same time, it’s not. Regardless, the series is currently in production, and the first episode is confirmed to be directed by Michael Cuesta.
