Media Take Out has learned that a new lawsuit filed by former Bad Boy singer Dawn Richards claims Diddy punched Cassie in the stomach during a dinner while Usher, Ne-Yo and Jimmy Iovine watched and did nothing.
On Tuesday (September 10), singer Dawn Richard filed a lawsuit against Diddy, accusing him of sexually, physically and verbally abusing her for years while she was under contract with Bad Boy Records. In a portion of the lawsuit obtained by XXL, Richard claims she witnessed Diddy get violent with his then-girlfriend Cassie at a dinner hosted by Puff at a California restaurant in “late 2009 or early 2010.” Diddy had invited Usher, Ne-Yo and Interscope label founder Jimmy Iovine, among other celebrities. The three of them reportedly witnessed the assault.
” Mr. Combs whispered [Cassie] “He punched her hard in the stomach as she whimpered and screamed, causing her to double over in pain and cry,” the lawsuit states.[Diddy’s assistant] Maintenance [Cassie] left the restaurant, and Mr. Combs remained there and continued to socialize with the dinner guests.”
Richard claimed that even though Jimmy Iovine had clearly seen Diddy be violent with women, he still struck a deal with Diddy and Bad Boy Records after the dinner.
