It's been a while since those waiting for the Devil May Cry anime will be here, but the wait is about to end. Today, Netflix has finally announced its official release month. Devil May Cry Anime series from producer Adi Shankar.
It's now official: Devil May Cry will be released on netflix April 2025The announcement was made during the annual Geeked Week event, and there's also a new teaser:
Devil May Cry The anime was first teased by Adi Shankar in October 2018, and One month laterofficially announced that he would be adapting the video game into an anime series. Details were extremely limited over the next few years as the next time we heard about the series was in October 2021 until 2023 when Alex Larsen was named a writer and development partner.
What is Devil May Cry About the anime?

The series is based on Capcom's long-running video game series of the same name, and like the games, it will feature Dante as the main character. Netflix has provided a logline for Devil May Cry:
“Sinister forces are working to open a gateway between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Orphan Demon, a demon hunter who knows the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.”
We also know that the series will have eight episodes, which has become the standard in TV these days.

Who is working on Netflix? Devil May Cry,
Adi Shankar is the main creative force behind the new animated series for Capcom and Netflix. Shankar is no stranger to Netflix, having worked on the original Castlevania series and most recently served as creative director on the excellent Captain Laserhawk This series brings together many Ubisoft characters in a project like no other. Shankar is also rumored to be working on another series. assassin's creed Animated project for Netflix.
His animation studio, Shankar Animation, and the South Korean animation studio, Studio Mir, are the two studios working on the adaptation.
Talking about the project at Geeked Week 2023, Shankar said, “Our goal was not to make just another animated show. My goal is to make one of the best shows on the Netflix platform. That's it. We had great partners in Studio Mir. They are one of the best animation studios that do this kind of work. Their portfolio of back-to-back hits speaks for itself.”
