Doc’s ‘10-15’ rule could stop TikTok from giving you hemorrhoids

If you need a break from the rest of the world, sit on top of the toilet seat.

Dr. Karen ZaghianA colorectal surgeon in Los Angeles is even more conservative with his recommendation.

“People spend too much time on the toilet,” he said, and “many people make it a habit to read their email or look at TikTok or Instagram while they’re pooping.”

“Literally reducing your toilet time to five minutes allows you to go, void, get up and get on with your day.”
