Elon Musk’s mother has been accused of urging people to commit voter fraud – her own son’s social media site, X, has flagged her posts as “illegal”.
May Musk, 76, posted her outrageous comments in response to her billionaire son, telling her followers that it is “extremely important to register all of your friends and family to vote.”

“On election day, have 10 fake names, go to 10 polling stations and vote 10 times. It’s 100 votes, and it’s not illegal. Maybe we should work on the system too,” he wrote.
The post, which had more than 6.6 million views as of Monday morning, was quickly flagged by his son’s site.
“This is, in fact, illegal,” X said in a community note with a link to the US code, which states that knowingly voting more than once is federally prohibited.
Social media users, including several lawyers, immediately slammed the Tesla founder’s mother for promoting voter fraud.
“It is illegal. Do you have any credible evidence that Democrats are engaging in that practice?” A lawyer wrote in reply.
Another lawyer chimed in: “This tweet constitutes solicitation of a crime and in itself is a fully fledged criminal act. If at least one person acts on your request, you may also be charged with conspiracy. You should immediately withdraw this tweet.”
“Oho @FBI Please look here, this is a crime going on,” wrote one social media user.
Another person joked, “Great idea, Mey. I think you should make a video of yourself doing this and post it.”
