An 11-year-old girl is believed to be the sole survivor of a mass murder inside a lavish Washington state home on Monday, where five family members, including three young children, were shot dead, according to local reports.

Judge Joe Campagna ordered the alleged killer to remain in secure juvenile detention as he awaits formal charges, calling the charges “of the gravest seriousness.” The Seattle Times reported,
Campagna is barred from any contact with the only member of his family who survived the attack, an 11-year-old girl, the outlet reports.
The teen, who waived his right to participate in his first appearance in King County Superior Court, was described by defense attorney Amy Parker as a young boy who “enjoys mountain biking and fishing. “

Neighbors told FOX13 that authorities have not released the identities and ages of the victims, though the children are believed to be teenagers, with the oldest being 15 years old.
King County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Mike Mellis said deputies responded to the home — a scenic waterfront property — on Lake Alice Road just before 5 a.m. Monday after receiving multiple 911 calls of a “disturbance with gunfire.” Found that five members of the family had been shot dead.

As of Tuesday, the King County Medical Examiner’s Office had not released the identities of the victims who were killed.
Prosecutors are expected to file formal charges on Thursday, followed by an arraignment on Friday.
