Gypsy Rose Blanchard is one “Smooth Criminal.”
The 32-year-old unveiled her go-to skincare hack that kept her face smooth when she was incarcerated and served seven years for the murder of her mom — and it may surprise people.
In a 38-second clip reposted on TikTok from Blanchard’s Instagram live on June 18, she reveals the routine that involved household kitchen products.
“You’re gonna be shocked,” Blanchard said in the viral video. “I’ve done this ever since I was in prison.”
The former convict revealed how she relied on honey and sugar cubes to exfoliate and reduce inflammation in her skin. She calls the concoction a honey-sugar facial scrub.
“I take a bottle of honey with me to the shower, I take two sugar cubes and I melt the sugar cubes, but not to the point they dissolve,” she explained. “I rub it all over my face because that’s my exfoliant, and then I put honey on my face because that’s an anti-inflammatory.”
The prison-made combination allowed the 32-year-old to maintain her clear skin while in confinement, she said.
Many TikTokers were intrigued by the skin care hack that can easily be found at home.
“I mean her skin is really clear,” admitted one watcher.
“I do this too,” confessed another.
“Skin loves honey! She ain’t lying,” added a viewer.
“That’s actually a really good idea, sugar is exfoliating without being too harsh and honey is antibacterial,” one TikTokker chimed in.
Health experts agree that Blanchard’s skincare routine is an excellent home remedy for clear skin and helps balance bacteria on your face.
“Raw honey is packed with components beneficial for your skin, especially if you have acne or autoimmune skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis,” Healthline experts unveiled.
Even sugar cubes have skincare benefits, such as exfoliation. It can be “used to physically exfoliate the buildup of dead skin cells on your skin,” stated Posh Beauty Blog.
Blanchard is known to share her prison life hacks online from skincare remedies to energy drinks.
As previously reported by The Post, the criminal-turned-social-media star posted a video to TikTok detailing a recipe for a sugar- and caffeine-fueled drink, described as “homemade Red Bull.”
The brunette begins by listing the ingredients needed for the fizzy drink: a bag of Jolly Ranchers, Hawaiian Punch singles, strawberry Fanta and Folgers instant coffee.
She encouraged her followers to try the drink “if you’re brave enough” — and “if you’re super brave, instead of using the Fanta, use a Red Bull.”
