The star urged people to get tested for skin cancer, saying, “I promise you won’t regret it.”
The new film will be released in Australian cinemas on Wednesday, with Mr Jackman appearing alongside Olympic swimmers Kate Campbell and Deborah Hutton.
The Hollywood megastar shared the initial scare with his Instagram followers in 2023, explaining to his followers that he was getting a biopsy on his nose to test for basal cell carcinoma – a mild form of skin cancer.
“I just got two biopsy tests done. The Australian actor shared, the doctor saw two small things that could be basal cells.
“Summer is coming, so please wear sunscreen! It’s just not worth it! No matter how much of a tan you want, trust me.
Fortunately, the tests were successful and Mr. Jackman committed to practicing sun protection from then on.
His marriage to Deborra-Lee Furness ended in September 2023 following recent reports of Jackman’s alleged affair with his co-star Sutton Foster, which led to health concerns.

A video posted on October 26 by gossip blogger Tasha Lustig claimed that Jackman blindsided his ex-wife by “running in” with his Broadway co-star.
Furness ‘liked’ the video from his personal account, which appears to corroborate the claims.
Amanda De Cadenet, one of Furness’s close friends, also commented on the post, confirming the rumor.
“You are right on this issue. My dear friend Deb is going to shine any minute now!” The cadet wrote.
