Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky clearly don’t have a “Bad Romance.”
The couple reportedly got engaged “several months” ago but decided to keep the news within their close circle, according to a source who spilled details to People.
When Gaga celebrated her 38th birthday at a dinner party with friends in March, Polansky had allegedly already proposed, the insider said. Gaga, star of the upcoming “Joker: Folie à Deux,” reportedly opted not to wear the ring to avoid being photographed with it.
“The couple shared the happy news with family and close friends right away, but wanted to keep the engagement private otherwise,” the source said, adding that Gaga and Polansky are allegedly planning their wedding together, much to the delight of their loved ones.
“Everyone’s excited about them getting married,” the insider shared, revealing Gaga is “the happiest with Michael.” The CEO and executive director of Parker Media is “excited and supportive of her career” and “can’t stand being in the spotlight, but lets her shine” regardless.
The Post has reached out to Gaga’s rep for comment.
Gaga confirmed her engagement at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics to French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal in a TikTok video July 28, where she introduced Polansky as “my fiancé.”
Gaga and Polansky sparked romance rumors in December 2020 after they were spotted kissing at a New Year’s Eve party.
They made their relationship public just weeks later during a PDA-filled weekend in Miami for the 2020 Super Bowl. Gaga shared a photo on Instagram at the time of the couple on a yacht, captioning it, “We had so much fun in Miami.”
Gaga celebrated Polansky during one of her final “Jazz & Piano” shows of her Las Vegas residency July 5, calling him “my mister” as she spoke to the crowd.
Polansky has also been supportive of Gaga, attending the official “Saturday Night Live” cast after-party by her side in October following her surprise appearance on the show. He also accompanied Gaga when she performed for Joe Biden during his 2021 presidential inauguration.
In addition to wedding plans, the insider shared with People that the couple has also expressed a desire to expand their family.
“They both would love to have a family,” they said.
Gaga has been engaged twice before.
Her engagement to Christian Carino ended in 2019, reportedly due to his alleged problematic behavior.
An insider told Us Weekly that Carino, 55, “didn’t treat Gaga very well toward the end of their [two-year] relationship,” and was allegedly overly possessive, which affected their relationship.
Gaga was also previously engaged to actor Taylor Kinney, whom she met on the set of her “You and I” music video shoot in 2011. They got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2015, but ended it a year later.
“Taylor and I have always believed we are soul mates,” Gaga wrote on Instagram in July 2016. “Just like all couples, we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break. We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared. Please root us on. We’re just like everybody else and we really love each other.”
