You can’t buy love.
A Brazilian model has dumped her multi-millionaire boyfriend after a fight in New York City’s flagship Louis Vuitton store, forcing him to return all the designer items he had bought for her.
Eduarda Joachims, a model The Rio de Janeiro native, who has earned the nickname “Tiny” for her tiny 22-inch waist, was hanging out at the Louis Vuitton boutique in Manhattan with her boyfriend, whom she did not name.
But the blissful shopping spree was ruined when the lovebirds started bickering about their long-distance relationship, a moment Joachims called “awkward” and “completely embarrassing.”
“We started arguing inside the store, it was like a soap opera,” he told NewsX.
“For a moment I thought it wasn’t real.”
Heated negotiations resulted in a break-up – and the American businessman immediately returned all the luxury items he had purchased for Joachims, which totaled about $130,000.
“Suddenly he went to the car, took out all the gifts he had bought and asked for his money back,” she recalled.
But don’t worry, the successful model repurchased all the items – and then some – with her “own money.”
“I already knew this relationship wasn’t going to last,” she said of her ex-boyfriend, whom she described as “jealous.”
“He kept demanding a lot of attention from me, and I’m not the kind of person who keeps talking on the phone too much, which irritates him.”
Now, she said that as a single woman she has “more freedom, more inspiration.”
“There is no longer any jealous person trying to control me,” he said.
“I have new projects coming and now I can face everything without the fear of labels.”
