He was undergoing treatment by keeping him away from the public eye for several months.
After the news of his demise, fellow actors and artists have paid tribute.
“It breaks my heart to think that I may never hear your voice again, but I will keep talking to you. “Love you so much, Jose,” actress Luisa Martin wrote on Instagram.
“I can’t believe you’re gone so soon,” Spanish singer Pablo Alborán said in a social media post.
“I am devastated by your departure. I’m sending kisses to all your family and friends.
“We will never forget you Jose. Wherever you are, I’m sure you’re wearing a Hawaiian shirt, a great mustache and the same sunglasses we wore that day,” he said.
Toy Boy was a hit Netflix series about a male stripper, which ran for two seasons and ended in 2021.
De la Torre also appeared in other Spanish TV shows, including Amar es para siempre, Vis a Vis: El Oasis and Servir y Protega.
She graduated from the Málaga Higher School of Performing Arts in Spain and has also worked as a model for high-profile fashion, jewelery and accessory brands.
De la Torre was originally from Montilla in the Cordoba province of Spain.
He is survived by his parents and sister.
Her last Instagram post, dated June 3, was a photo of her enjoying a concert in the Canary Islands.
“The joy of arriving in the Canary Islands, seeing your friends, having a mojito and singing your heart out until your voice stops,” she captioned the post.
