Bigg Boss OTT (Over The Top) is back with its third season and the fans of the popular digital series can’t keep calm. However, this year, Salman Khan is passing on the host’s baton to another Bollywood actor. And going by the latter’s statement, the new host can’t wait to bring his “own flavour” to the show.
For the unversed, Bigg Boss OTT is the digital spinoff of Bigg Boss, which wrapped up its 17th season in January, with comedian Munawar Faruqui being crowned the winner. Faruqi was selected out of the five final contestants, which included actors Ankita Lokhande, Mannara Chopra and Abhishek Kumar, and Youtuber Arun Mashetty. Salman Khan, who served as host for most of these 17 seasons, also held the chair in season two of Bigg Boss OTT.
The digital series kickstarted in 2021, with actor Divya Agarwal emerging as victor and Youtuber Elvish Yadav winning season two. Season three promises to be even bigger and better. Here’s all you can expect from it.

Who will be hosting the new season of Bigg Boss OTT?
Bigg Boss season three will witness a change of guard, from Salman Khan to… Anil Kapoor! Speaking about his new role, the 67-year-old actor said: “Bigg Boss OTT and I are a dream team! We’re both young at heart; people often say—jokingly—that I’m reverse ageing, but Bigg Boss is—seriously—timeless. It feels a bit like going back to school, trying something new and exciting… Having said that, I’ve always approached all my projects with sincerity and a commitment to hard work and I’m going to bring that same energy times 10 to Bigg Boss! Unscripted reality has something for everyone—laughter, drama, and surprising twists, and I can’t wait to bring my own flavour to it,” News18 reports.
Anil Kapoor’s daughter, actor Sonam Kapoor, also shared a promotional video of Bigg Boss OTT 3 on her Instagram stories, with the caption: “They’ve got the most talented, hardworking and handsome man onboard!”

Possible contestants
While the list of contestants for the new season is yet to be revealed, a Times of India report has suggested that Tanushree Dutta, Ushmey Chakraborty, Ahana Deol, Trishala Dutt and Bhavya Gandhi have been approached for the same.
