A Democratic congresswoman who got into a viral spat with GOP firebrand Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is now looking to cash in on the moment.
“So we are going to drop ‘A Crockett Clapback Collection.’ This collection will feature various swag that includes random things I’ve said,” Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) wrote on X Saturday.
“The money will go to ensuring that we have a Democratic House! Give me a little time to really get the swag online etc.”
The post features a man wearing a black shirt with the words “bleach blonde bad built butch body,” which are a reference to an insult Crockett hurled at Greene (R-Ga.) earlier this week.
Things derailed during a Thursday hearing of the House Oversight Committee on whether to move forward with a contempt resolution against Attorney General Merrick Garland after Greene took a shot at Crockett’s appearance.
“I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you’re reading,” Greene jabbed, provoking gasps from fellow lawmakers.
The moment brought immediate condemnation from Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), the top Democrat on the committee.
“That is absolutely unacceptable!” shouted “Squad” member Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) who demanded the comments be stricken from the record.
Not to be overshadowed, Crockett later shot back that Greene had a “bleached blonde, bad-built, butch body.”
Her remarks were also stricken from the record.
