A small plane carrying five people crashed in upstate New York, with the condition of those onboard still unclear early Monday.
The single-engine Piper PA-46 crashed at about 2 p.m. Sunday in the village of Sidney after taking off from Albert S. Nader Regional Airport in Oneonta, the Federal Aviation Administration said.
There were five people on the plane when it crashed, officials added. Their conditions and identities remained unclear Monday morning.
It was also not immediately clear what caused the crash.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating, with the NTSB leading.
