A small plane crashed in the middle of a highway in New York City’s northern suburbs on Thursday night, police said.
According to New York State Police, the plane crashed into the median near Exit 2 on Interstate 684 in White Plains, near Westchester County Airport.
Exit 2 is the exit for the airport.
The highway is now closed, causing major traffic delays, with police advising motorists to avoid the area.
