A Texas father is accused of intentionally setting fire to his home with his three children inside, according to police.
Pedro Luis Parra Pulgar, 46, has been charged with three counts of attempted murder.
His bond was set at $2.25 million.
The fire was reported Nov. 6 at 31619 Eldorado Lane in the Polo Ranch community of Fulshear, Texas, police said.
The suspect suffered major injuries in the fire and had to spend a long time in hospital before being released on Thursday. He was then booked into the Fort Bend County Jail.
Police said the fire caused significant damage to the home and first responders quickly arrived at the scene.
Two children managed to escape the house with minor injuries, but a third child, aged three, was trapped inside.
Officers heard faint noises coming from inside the home and entered through the bedroom window and rescued the child.
The child, who was suffering from severe breathing problems due to the smoke, was airlifted to a nearby hospital and discharged from there.
