If she wins, she will smash records, with the oldest winner of the pageant currently sitting at a youthful 28.
Back in 1952, when the beauty pageant started, contestants had to be aged between 18 and 28, single, and with no children.
But last year, the rules were expanded to include women aged anywhere from 18 to 73.
The rules about contestants being single and without children have also been thrown out.
After graduating from high school, Rodriguez became a journalist, before studying law and becoming a legal adviser for a hospital, Argentinian TV network El Trece reported.
Asked how she maintained her youthful looks, she said it all came down to a balanced diet and exercise.
“The basic thing is to have a healthy life, eat well, do physical activity,” she told El Trece.
“Normal care, nothing too extraordinary, and a little genetics.
“What I try to do is intermittent fasting, I think that helps a lot.
“Then I try to eat organic foods, a lot of fruit, a lot of vegetables, and use good creams.”
The ageless beauty works out about three times a week, mostly by walking and jogging, and said her fitness regimen was “not extreme”.
Rodriguez competed against 35 other contestants to take out Miss Universe Buenos Aires.
She said she was proud to be the “modern face” of beauty pageants.
“I am thrilled to be representing this new paradigm in beauty pageants because we are inaugurating a new stage in which women are not only physical beautiful … but another set of values,” she told HOLA!
“I am the first of this generation to start with this.”
Speaking of her win for the Buenos Aires region, she said the judges “saw my confidence and my passion to represent the women of my generation”.
Rodriguez’s sights are now set on the Miss Universe Argentina pageant, which will be held on May 25.
The worldwide Miss Universe 2024 is scheduled to take place on September 28 in Mexico City.
