A 5 year old boy is devastated because he was covered an emoji In their official class photo.
After an attempt by her mother to protect her privacy online and a series of messages containing miscommunication with the school, the final photo makes her exclusion strangely clear.
“it’s all my fault. “There’s nothing I can do or say that will make her feel better,” Sydney’s mother said in a Facebook post.
“only one left”
The mother explains that she requested the school not to post anything with her face on social media.
On her first day, they stuck to her request, sharing an image Photoshopped the class Facebook page with my son.
Then his mother’s guilt overpowered him.
“I felt bad that he was the only one left. I called the school and told them I give them permission to show his face from now on,” she said.
“My son has an emoji on his face”
Unfortunately, the school did not follow the change of heart, and did not properly understand its meaning.
Mother continued, “Today all the children in the class were given a class picture. My son has an emoji on his face.”
Don’t know what happened, now she is unable to understand how to explain things to her child.
“He kept staring at the photo and even said he hated it. He wants to throw it in the dustbin. I feel really bad and sorry for him,” she explained.
Other parents commenting on the post weren’t surprised by the series of events, given the constantly changing online privacy landscape.
A fellow parent commented, “Really it’s the school’s fault.”
“I don’t post my son social media “Either, but that would break my heart,” sympathized another.
Some people encouraged the mother to stick to her morals.
“You should not go against your wishes and consent on social media to get a clear picture of your son’s first day of school! This is pure laziness!” one angry commenter wrote.
