Have you been seeing colorful images of dolphins on your TikTok feed?
If this is the case, you are not alone.
A new viral trend is taking over the social media platform, with people posting photos and videos of dolphins with depressing messages to the song “Symphony” by Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson.
Account @heratet started the trend last month by posting an image of a dolphin alongside the 2017 hit song, with the message, “I'm sad.”
Video It has over 1 million views and has fueled the trend.
The account has continued to post the same content with different messages, such as “I have social anxiety,” “I think too much about everything,” “My mental health has deteriorated,” “I want to give up my whole life,” and “I'm scared of people.”
More and more TikTokers have joined the trend, to the point that it has taken over the “For You” page on TikTok.
Larsson, 26, eventually caught on to the trend, which included her singing and Create your own video With the image of a dolphin.
His post contains the message, “f–k is happening.” It has received over 10 million likes and 47K comments.
“I knew she would love this trend,” one fan commented.
“I love it when artists join trends with their songs,” another person wrote.
Another fan added: “I can't breathe she knows.”
Larson also played footage of dolphins behind her while she sang “Symphony” during a recent concert, which went viral on tiktok,
One fan commented, “I hope you realize how iconic this is.”
“She's actually so non-serious I love it,” someone else said.
A third fan wrote, “The only thing missing is the dolphin themed stuff!!!!”
The dolphin image was created by Christian Reiss Lassen and is called “Enjoy Sunshine.”
