Governor of Minnesota Tim Walz On Saturday, he took a page out of New York Jets coach Robert Saleh’s strategy and called on Wisconsin supporters to work hard in the coming weeks to get Kamala Harris elected president.
“We can make this work when we work together, so for all of you, for all of you: only gas, no brakes!” the 60-year-old Democratic vice presidential nominee said, addressing hundreds of people in Superior, Wisconsin.
“It took 52 days to complete this work … and imagine, on the 53rd morning when you wake up, we will say, 'Congratulations Madam President.'”
Walz mimicked Saleh's famous “all gas, no brakes” mantra, which he previously used to encourage players during his time as the San Francisco 49ers' defensive coordinator.
He Made it the Jets team slogan On taking over as head coach in 2021.
The Jets have been on a losing streak under Saleh, going 18-34, including a season-opening 32-19 loss to the 49ers on Monday night.
