14 sets of twins and one set of triplets graduate from the same high school class

This graduating class was twice as nice.

Fourteen sets of twins and one set of triplets graduated from the same Florida high school earlier this month.

The crowd cheered at Cooper City High School in South Florida as the 543 graduates crossed the stage including two sets of identical twins and 12 sets of fraternal.

While Broward County Public School officials are unaware of any official record for the most twins in a graduating class, they believe they just set it.

“It was very special as they would come across the stage; I would shake their hand and give one a diploma, and then the second one would come over to do the same thing,” Vera Perkovic, the school’s principal, told Today.com.

“It kind of just symbolized they’re their own person, but also, they have been together all these years as twins,” she added.

“Your whole life when you’re a twin, you kind of stand out. People are always pointing it out to you and talking about how you’re a twin,” student Jocelyn Reed said while standing next to her twin sister, Gabrielle, reported NBC Miami.

“So it’s kind of crazy to see that there’s so many other people in the same situation.”

Most of the twins and triplets are now getting ready to take their own paths for college after having been in classes together since elementary school.

“I’m just really excited to go somewhere separate and be on my own,” Gabrielle told Today.com.

“Everywhere I go, I’m lumped together with her and not really seen as my own person, so I’m really excited to be able to have my own experiences.”

Meanwhile, twin brothers Dylan and Jordan agreed that not living together will be a strange adjustment, “but that’s why there’s FaceTime,” they told NBC Miami.

The graduation day was a bittersweet moment as the families celebrated the end of their graduates’ high school years and prepared to send them off to college — likely the first time many of these siblings have been apart.

“It was a great moment. It was also just bizarre because you raise twins, and everything is two at once,” Gabrielle and Jocelyn’s father, Aaron Reed, told Today.com.

“So, on some levels, it was twice as exciting, but it was also twice as chaotic and overwhelming.”
