2 Lakh New Internet Users Added Every Day In India; Total Internet Users Swell To 95.4 Crore – Trak.in


In India, there were 95.4 crore internet users as of March 2024, up from 88.1 crore in March 2023.

Within a year, the number of new internet users increased by 7.3 crore, according to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).

This development indicates an 8.30% yearly rise in internet users.

From 84.6 crore in March 2023 to 92.4 crore in March 2024, there were more people using broadband.

With 7.8 crore new users, the broadband subscriber growth rate was 9.15%.

The rise in broadband users highlights how important high-speed connectivity is becoming.

At 119.9 crore, the number of phone subscribers stayed constant in March 2024.

India had a rise in its overall tele-density from 84.51% in March 2023 to 85.69% in March 2024.

Over the course of a year, the tele-density growth rate was 1.39%.

91.3 Crore Cellular Data Users in March 2024

According to the research, there were 91.3 crore cellular data users as of March 2024, up from 84.6 crore in March 2023.

The number of wireless data subscribers increased at a pace of 7.93% annually.

In 2022–2023 and 2023–2024, the total amount of wireless data used was 1,60,054 petabytes (PB) and 1,94,774 PB, respectively.

The rise in wireless data consumption amounted to a 21.69% annual growth.

The information highlights India’s exponential rise in wireless data consumption.

In March 2024, there were 119.9 crore phone subscribers in India, up from 117.2 crore in March 2023.

The telephone subscriber growth rate was 2.30 percent each year.

Significant growth trends in internet and broadband services in India are highlighted in the research.

With a higher percentage of internet users, broadband services are still in the lead.

Better availability to telecommunication services is indicated by the steady increase in tele-density.

The whole data shows how important digital connectivity is becoming in India’s quickly growing telecom industry.
