Actor and former Hells Angels biker Chuck Zito lashed out at the NYPD cop who allegedly pulled him over for driving with a fake license plate.
Zito, 71, was pulled over Monday afternoon while driving his 1968 Chevelle SS southbound on the Throgs Neck Expressway, where police were conducting a ghost-plate operation, according to law enforcement sources.
Sources said that when officers ran his tag – a dealer plate from Florida – they determined it was fraudulent, and put Zito in handcuffs and took him away.
Zito – a longtime friend of Donald Trump who appeared in court to support the president-elect during his New York City criminal trial – called the arrest a disgrace, and in an Instagram post condemned the cops who did it. A case was registered against him.
“The policewoman who arrested me….” I am handcuffed while she counts my confiscated money, wallet and cellphone,” Zito wrote in dirty sexual language, speculating that she was a Kamala Harris supporter.
“There was a policeman behind me who put cuffs on me, later in the police van I told him the cuffs were a little tight for a license plate ticket. His response, oh, I’m sorry, I left the pink fuzzy cuffs home. I wanted to f**k him out,” Zito said.
“Don’t insult all cops over a few bad apples. “I know a lot of nice people.”
Zito did not mention the allegations against him.
But the allegedly fake plate on Zito’s Chevelle – Identified by TMZ – has appeared on at least two other vintage cars in his extensive collection, according to photos he posted on social media.
According to TMZ, his car was towed away from the scene, while Zito said he was “booked, fingerprinted and mug shots taken”.
After waiting in a cramped cell with five people, Zito said he was transferred to a separate room and left chained to a bench for four hours and was eventually released without bail – Saying it was “one helluva day”.
“I will have my day in court,” he said.
Zito was charged with possession of forged instruments.
One of the founding members of the New York branch of the notorious Hells Angels motorcycle gang, Zito later made his way in Hollywood as an actor and stuntman, appearing in films starring the likes of Angelina Jolie and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
