Actress Amanda Davies, daughter of soap legend Erika Slezak dead ‘suddenly’ at 42


Soap star Amanda Davies has died “very suddenly” aged 42, her mother, soap legend Erika Slezak has confirmed.

Davies had a role on the ABC (US) soap One Life to Love, playing the younger version of her mother’s character Victoria ‘Viki’ Lord.

The 77-year-old mother announced her daughter’s death on her website — no cause of death has been revealed.

“It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of Erika’s daughter Amanda Elizabeth Davies, who died very suddenly,” the statement read on Monday.

“The family is heartbroken and would appreciate privacy at this time.”

Davies is the daughter of Slezak and her husband Brian Davies — who is also an actor.

Slezak broke the Daytime Emmy Award record securing six separate awards for her role as Viki.

She played the character from 1971 to the finale in 2012.

Davies appeared in the flashback scenes in 2003 playing a teenage Viki.

Davies is survived by her parents and brother Michael, 43.
