In Stree 2, Akshay Kumar made a surprise cameo as Sarkata’s descendant. While his character sets Vicky (Rajkummar Rao) & Co. in the right direction towards defeating Sarkata, the interesting post-credits scene hints at Akshay Kumar as the new supervillain in the Maddock horror comedy universe. In the scene, he receives Sarkata’s remains and absorbs his soul to transform into a powerful being, similar to Thanos in the MCU. Stree 3 could be around the storyline where the franchise characters assemble to defeat Akshay Kumar’s supervillain, identical to the concept of Avengers uniting to defeat Thanos.

The sequence smartly hinted at Ayushmann Khurrana, who will be headlining Vampires of Vijay Nagar, a new instalment in the Maddock horror comedy franchise. According to Times of India, Munjya director Aditya Satpodar has been roped in to helm the upcoming film, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna and is looking at a potential 2025 release. It will be interesting to see how Ayushmann Khurrana’s character will play an integral role in Stree 3.

After defeating Sarkata, She eventually vanishes from Vicky’s life, much to his disappointment. While Vicky and his squad, including Rudra Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi), Bittu (Aparshakti Khurana) and Jana, are almost guaranteed to return in Stree 3, Shraddha Kapoor’s return in the threequel is currently up in the air. But, never say never…
