Another big change is going to happen in the next few months. Australian prison drama Wentworth The company will drop Netflix from the United States at the end of October, and other regions such as Canada will follow.
Originally airing on Foxtel in Australia, Netflix has been the distributor of the female-led prison drama created by Reg Watson and Lara Radulovich in multiple territories. Over the course of 100 episodes across eight seasons, you follow the lives of the staff and inmates of Wentworth Correctional Centre.
The award-winning series featured a rotating cast throughout its run between 2013 and 2021, with some regulars throughout the programme including Kate Atkinson, Katarina Milosevic, Robbie Magasiva and Jackie Brennan.
netflix first obtained the right The series was released in 2014, with new seasons being added every year since then. The eighth and final season (split into two parts) arrived on September 30, 2020, so you now have a good four years to watch the show, but if you're catching up in the middle, you'll need to watch it fast.
