Texas lawyer Anthony “Tony” Buzbee filed a bombshell lawsuit on behalf of a woman who accused Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jay-Z of assault two decades ago when she was 13 years old. Done. Now Tony faces his own legal battle and has a shockingly arresting skeleton in his closet.
Buzbee is now representing more than 120 clients who are claiming Diddy sexually assaulted them.
But Tony is no saint. The Houston attorney was arrested for DWI in the Lone Star State in 2016.
Records show that the drunken driving charge was personally dismissed by the Harris County District Attorney’s office after Buzbee completed a year-long intervention program in just eight months.
and more. Matthew Thompson, an ex-client, filed a federal lawsuit in Louisiana, accusing Buzbee of defrauding him of personal injury settlement money.
But there is more. In a new lawsuit filed Thursday, Buzbee is also accused of “knowingly giving a woman a sexually transmitted disease” and “hitting her so hard that he broke her teeth.”
The 56-year-old former US Marine has been sued by his side, claiming the embattled lawyer brutally smashed a champagne glass in his face and sabotaged his divorce case.
The new lawsuit, which was filed in Manhattan Supreme Court in 2018, claims Buzbee “lured” the alleged victim into having sex and concealed the fact that he had a venereal disease.
According to the documents: “Defendant knew of the risk that he would pass the disease to Plaintiff if he did not take appropriate precautions, and when that risk became real, he used his position as a licensed attorney. By manipulating him to protect himself from reputational harm.”
The victim, who has not been named, claimed Buzbee offered her free legal services in exchange for her silence and then allegedly “became possessive.”
The lawsuit claims Buzbee became “violent” after seeing the alleged victim talking to another man at a bar in New York City.
The victim claimed that the lawyer hit her in the face with a mirror and “broke two of her teeth.”
Buzbee then represented the alleged victim in her divorce case in 2021 “as a result of his manipulation.”
The lawsuit claimed that Buzbee used the opportunity to “change Doctor Plaintiff’s medical records to make it appear as if he could not have been the one who infected her with the venereal disease.”
According to the documents, the lawyer allegedly changed the STD test result date from 2018 to 2020.
Buzbee allegedly used the medical records to “blackmail” the husband into “avoiding normal conversations.”
The lawyer decided to pay “a fraction” of what the alleged victim should have got in the divorce.
