Amazon Music has always felt like an extra feature for Prime members with its own little personality. But it looks like Amazon is a little jealous of the success of Spotify’s annual wrap, and it’s slowly taken over as the most anticipated event of the year. That’s why they’ve released their take on it with Amazon Music Delivered.
The company has recently shared a Youtube video A special delivery is being announced for music fans with their “Delivered” recap. As you’d expect, it shows your top songs, artists, and your time with Alexa. The latter shows how much time you have spent listening to songs on the smart speaker.
Alexa owners will also get a special gift. If you have listened to certain artists to the extent that they top your charts, you may be eligible for a unique audio message from them. If you have such a message, your Alexa device will show a yellow flashing light, and then you can ask it to play it for you.
This last part seems to be exactly what Spotify is preparing for this year’s Wrapped. We informed The platform is asking artists to create a short message for their top listeners. So, I think Amazon beat them to the punch.
So if you’re an Amazon Music listener, you can check your delivery by going to the app, then going to LibraryHere you will see “Delivered 2024” banner. Now just tap on it and see what your music taste says about you.
First YouTube Music and now Amazon, it seems like everyone wants to be the cool kid with their annual recap. While I’m glad Amazon is finally doing something with its music streaming platform, I hope this isn’t the only identity it gets, and the company will develop it into something more.
