Another blockbuster movie that was rejected by Anil Kapoor is Chandni. According to India Today, he was offered the lead role in the Yash Chopra directorial, but he refused it because he didn’t want to sit in a wheelchair. This was because Kapoor had met with a scary accident in real life that left him bedridden for months. In a tweet, back in 2022, while celebrating 33 years of Chandni, the Fighter star confessed that he regrets not doing the classic. The National Film Award-winning film also starred Sridevi, Vinod Khanna, and Waheeda Rahman.
3. Welcome 3
Amongst Anil Kapoor’s most iconic characters, the fan-favourite remains the hilarious Majnu Bhai from the Welcome franchise. While Anil Kapoor reprised his role for Welcome Back, he will not be returning in Welcome 3. Akshay Kumar will be returning for the third instalment, titled Welcome to the Jungle, alongside Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Arshad Warsi, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, and more. It hasn’t officially been revealed as to why Kapoor isn’t a part of Welcome 3.
