They met in 2011, got engaged in 2017 and are the proud parents of two beautiful children who are now 10 and seven years old.
But famous Australian supermodel Megan Gayle and Former AFL player Shawn Hampson has pioneered the trend of hosting lavish weddings and plastering the photos on his Instagram pages… and it’s fair to both of them.

Now the real reason has come to light.
Gayle, 49, admits her engagement to Hampson, 36, has been “the longest I’ve ever been”.
But he said that when they first started getting serious, their focus was on having kids, not marriage.
Now, the busy businesswoman (who recently returned to modeling after a 10-year hiatus) has revealed that marriage just feels like “a lot of work.”
In September Gail re-signed with David Jones, reuniting with the business of which she was the face between 2001–2013.
“Look, (marriage) was always something… which we were in no rush to do. Traditionally, everyone wants to ‘get engaged, plan a wedding, have kids.’ “I’ve never been a big wedding girl.” Gayle told News Corp,
“This all sounds like a lot of work to me. I’m tired just thinking about it.”
Hampson played 98 AFL games for Richmond and Carlton. She also raised her profile with an appearance on the reality TV show Survivor.
The couple have two children, a son, River, aged 10, and seven-year-old Rosie.
Gale said that when Hampson finally asked the question in 2017, she was “overjoyed”.
But again he started giving priority to his children.
“(We thought) let’s wait until they’re old enough to attend (the ceremony) and remember it.”
They certainly are now.
When pressed further about the silence about the marriage, Gale said, “It became very difficult”.
“Put it this way, there is no rush. We have been together for 14 years. I think it would be nice to do this someday. watch this space.”
