Former soap star Orpheus Pledger has been taken into custody, more than 24 hours after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Pledger was arrested on Thursday afternoon, police confirmed, but details of the time and location of the arrest have not yet been disclosed.
The actor had been set to face court on Tuesday over allegations of assault against a woman, however, he failed to show.

The 30-year-old was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital for a court-ordered mental health assessment early on Wednesday but is believed to have up and left.
He also failed to front the Melbourne Magistrates’ court via video link from hospital to finalise a bail application, with his lawyer saying Pledger had escaped.
On Wednesday, police issued an arrest warrant for the actor who played Mason Morgan on Home and Away from 2016 to 2019, triggering a manhunt.
Police offered a description of the TV talent and said he was known to frequent Northcote and surrounding areas as they sought to find him.
Pledger previously appeared in 26 episodes of Neighbours and was a contestant on SAS Australia in 2022.
