Avatar: The Last Airbender is renewed for Season 2 & Season 3 by Netflix. Find out how many crores Gordon Cormier & other cast members earned for the first season


Avatar: The Last Airbender dropped on Netflix in February 2024, and has already been renewed for Season 2 and Season 3, according to Variety. The third season of the action-adventure fantasy drama series — which is the live-action adaptation of Nickelodeon’s popular animated series of the same name — will mark the end of the show. Avatar: The Last Airbender was mounted on a towering budget of $120 million (approximately Rs 993 crore), which is $15 million (approximately Rs 124 crore) per episode, according to Fandom Wire.

Avatar: The Last Airbender stars Gordon Cormier, Kiawentiio, Ian Ousley, Dallas Liu, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Ken Leung and Daniel Dae Kim. The gripping series is set in a world that is divided into four nations — the Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation and the Air Nomads — which were once in harmony alongside the Avatar aka the master of all four elements.

However, the Fire Nation, in an attempt to conquer the world, attacked the Air Nomads, leading to their extinction. All hope is lost until twelve-year-old airbender Aang (Gordon Cormier) embarks on a journey to save the world as its new Avatar. The first season has received a mixed reaction from the animated series loyalists. Find out how many crores the Avatar: The Last Airbender cast earned for the first season:

Gordon Cormier, who plays the titular role of Avatar Aang, took home $45,000 (approximately Rs 37 lakh) per episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender, according to FandomWire and Animated Times. His total salary for starring in the live-action adaptation series comes up to $360,000 (approximately Rs 3 crore).

Kiawentiio and Ian Ousley, who play Aang’s friends Katara and Sokka in Avatar: The Last Airbender, reportedly earned $35,000 (approximately Rs 29 lakh) and $25,000 (approximately Rs 20.69 lakh) per episode, respectively. For eight episodes of the first season, Kiawentiio’s total salary comes up to $280,000 (approximately Rs 2 crore), and Ian’s total salary comes up to $200,000 (approximately Rs 1.65 crore). Dallas Liu, who plays Prince Zuko of the Fire Nation, received the same salary as Ousley, according to Animated Times.

Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Nation’s antagonist ruler Fire Lord Ozai, Paul Sun Hyung Lee as Zuko’s uncle and mentor Uncle Iroh and Ken Leung as Zuko’s rival Commander Zhao reportedly took home a salary of $20,000 (approximately Rs 16.55 lakh) each per episode. Their total remuneration for Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 1 comes up to $160,000 (approximately Rs 1 crore).

Finally, Maria Zhang as Kyoshi Islands’ elite all-female soldiers squad Kyoshi Warriors’ leader Suki reportedly received $15,000 (approximately Rs 12 lakh) per episode. Her total remuneration for the first season of Avatar: The Last Airbender comes up to $120,000 (approximately Rs 99 lakh).
