A young actor’s life came to a tragic end after he fell from a moving car just days before Christmas.
Hudson Joseph Meek, 16, was found dead on the evening of Dec. 19 in his hometown of Vestavia Hills, Ala., just south of Birmingham. Suffered serious injuries after falling from vehicle.
Two days later, the “Baby Driver” actor “peacefully” succumbed to his wounds on December 21.
“Our hearts are broken to announce that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus tonight,” his mother Lani Wells Meek posted. His Facebook page. “His 16 years on this earth were very short, but he accomplished much and significantly impacted everyone he met.”
The local Vestavia Hills Police Department is investigating how the incident occurred NBC affiliate WVTM reported.

“Hudson was also an accomplished actor,” His obituary was added. “He worked on several major motion pictures and television shows, some of which will be released in 2025. He loved spending time on set and getting the chance to learn the names and stories of each member of the cast and crew.”
As a sophomore at Vestavia Hills High School, Meek had a very active life off-screen, including playing on the football team, singing in the honor choir, and being part of student government.
Outside of school, he obtained advanced open water scuba diving certification at the age of 14 and visited all 50 US states.
“Hudson had a unique personality,” the obituary said. “He was confident, firm in his beliefs, intuitive and quick-witted. He never let the facts get in the way of a funny story and he loved friendly banter.”
His family consists of his parents, brother, grandmother, and aunt and uncle.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Homewood, Ala.
