Barry Keoghan has joined the cast of the “Peaky Blinders” movie. The 31-year-old Irish actor is known for his great films. Pornographic role in “Saltburn” and for his Oscar-nominated performance in “The Banshees of Inisherin”.
Furthermore, he is also known for his romantic relationship with pop star Sabrina Carpenter.
The hit British gangster drama, which streams on Netflix, ends in 2022 after six seasons.
Earlier this summer, Netflix confirmed that the series' star, Oscar winner Cillian Murphy, would return for the film, written by series creator Steven Knight.
The serial follows Tommy Shelby (Murphy), a gangster living in Birmingham, England after World War I.
The term “Peaky Blinders” refers to the hats worn by the Shelby men, with razor blades stitched into the brim – used to blind or maim enemies.
Several big stars have played Tommy's allies or enemies on the show, including Tom Hardy, Sam Neill, “The Hunger Games” star Sam Claflin and “House of the Dragon” star Paddy Considine.
Details of Keoghan’s role have not yet been announced.

“I am continually amazed at how [‘Peaky Blinders’] It's been growing steadily. Sometimes with these long shows they stagnate for a season, or drop off, but 'Peaky' seems to be getting progressively stronger and I'm really proud of that. It's proof of that [writer/creator] Steven Knight.”

Regarding the show's popularity, Murphy said, told the post that it spread “like some sort of osmosis.” When the second [season] it got into that zeitgeist-y kind of thing and by the third [season] People were walking around dressed up as Peaky Blinders and getting haircuts and listening to songs [soundtrack] music.”
Murphy, who recently won an Oscar for “Oppenheimer,” said, “People are very disappointed when they meet me in the public sphere. I'm not moody and distant like Tommy … and I think people are really disappointed when I'm such a normal person in real life — but I'm quite happy with that.”
The premiere date of the film has not been announced.
