Here’s your chance to take hero worship to the next level.
Iconic props and costumes from the likes of “Harry Potter,” “Batman,” “Spider-Man” and “Captain America” are among the bevy of items up for bid Sunday on the final day of San Diego Comic-Con.
An original USO shield used by Chris Evans in Marvel’s 2011 “Captain America: The First Avenger” is expected to fetch $10,000, according to Julien’s Auction’s, who is co-hosting the sale.
“The weight and quality of this shield indicates it was likely utilized for scenes that required a soft and flexible stunt prop,” the lot description reads.
For those looking to save Gotham City, an original unused cowl developed for Christian Bale for Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight” (2008) is also up for bid.
The rubber mask is expected to go for at least $5,000.
The classic film co-starred the late Heath Ledger, who won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his maniacal portrayal of the Joker.
For bidders wild about Harry (Potter), there’s an original Slytherin robe.
“This type of robe would have been worn by characters in the background of the third and fourth installments of the ‘Harry Potter’ series and feature much of the same design of the hero robes worn by the main cast of the films,” Julien’s says.
The pre-sale estimate is $8,000.
Sunday’s event is billed as “Comic-Con Museum Presents Julien’s Auctions & TCM 2024 Spotlight Series: Harry Potter & Other Heroes.”
