Nicole Eggert shares a raw moment about her breast cancer battle.
The 52-year-old “Baywatch” alum broke down in tears in her car over her changing appearance, revealing she’s learning to live with the unexpected new scars.
“Okay, so I just got off my CT scan, mapping – as they call it – for my radiation treatment and when they said they were going to tattoo me, I didn’t realize it was real, real. Had a tattoo, so I was torn,” Eggert told her followers in a! emotional instagram video On 20th November.
The actress’ voice broke and she admitted, “And it’s minor, it’s nothing more than points, but boy, every step of the process will never let you forget it, there will just always be a constant reminder.”
Eggert’s mood lightened when she joked, “So yes, I have tattoos. My mom would be really proud of the tattoo on my neck, but it’s okay, it’s okay.”
She further added that although “the people were wonderful,” she “is still not looking forward to it, but I’ve gone through that part and the rest I have to work on myself and how I act.” Deal with it and ignore these new tattoos I have.”
Eggert became emotional at first when she spoke about undergoing radiation in the future.
Before the appointment he said, “They’re going to do a CT scan and they call it imaging and tattooing my organs, that’s because when they drop radiation on me, they expect to miss most of the vital organs.”
“They’ve said they’ll hit some of them to an extent, but hopefully not to a harmful extent,” Eggert said, getting physically upset.
“What I struggle with is that I know how much damage radiation does, my father had a tumor in his brain, he had a tumor in his brain, and after the first treatment, he was never the same person. “
The “Baywatch” star recently opened up about her health struggle Diagnosed with Stage 2 Cribriform Carcinoma Breast Cancer In December 2023.
“I’m good,” Eggert told people But “After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun” Premiere On August 26 in Los Angeles. “I’m kind of in limbo and have completed my treatment, waiting for more imaging and hopefully maybe surgery.”
“And it takes a lot of waiting and it’s something I didn’t really realize and no one really talks about,” she adds. “But the gray area is the hardest because you don’t know what’s going on and you just, when I’m doing therapy, I feel like I’m doing something productive.”
She added, “So it felt positive and I felt, OK, I’m doing something positive. And now that it’s nothing, it’s like, okay wait a minute. We have to take it out. So it is, it’s just disappointing.
Eggert, who played Summer Quinn in the series Beach Babe, produced Four-part ABC News Studios documentary About “Baywatch”
