Naruto is an amazing manga series, one that defined the Shonen genre for a decade and gave us an unforgettable storyline and beautiful artwork. Each page of the manga series is something that’s supposed to be cherished throughout the ages. However, if there’s something that often gets ignored by the community, it’s the spectacular cover pages offered by Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto. So, to highlight some of these designs, we’ve crafted a list of the best Naruto covers.
10. Volume 72: Uzumaki Naruto
We have seen Naruto fighting several powerful characters to achieve a single dream – becoming a Hokage. Well, after a years-long journey, Naruto finally becomes the Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village, which was surely a heartwarming experience for the viewers to witness.
That is why the community loves Volume 72’s cover. It shows Naruto flexing the Hokage cape and looking over the one thing he loves the most: Hidden Leaf Village. This cover art reminds us that, like Naruto, we can achieve even the hardest of dreams if we truly work for it.

9. Volume 71: Team Seven Together
Team Seven played a crucial part in the final war against Kaguya and Madara Uchiha. While Sakura and Naruto fight for the sake of the Hidden Leaf, Sasuke (the only survivor of the Uchiha clan in the Naruto series) fights with hatred in his heart instead of love and care.
It takes a long time for Team Seven to reunite for a common goal, and this manga cover art reflects the beauty of Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke being together. All three characters became incredibly powerful and had great character development, and seeing them fighting together after being separated for years was an experience like no other.
Also, let’s not forget the best part of this NAruto cover art – Kakashi sensei looking over Team Seven from the shadows.
8. Volume 64: Ten Tails
It took several years for Hinata to express her love for Naruto. The hot-headed Uzumaki boy finally understood Hinata’s feelings in the midst of the battle. Naruto unleashed his extraordinary powers after seeing Hinata getting hurt. We all waited for Naruto and Hinata to get together, and the series delivered that moment beautifully.
Volume 64’s cover acknowledges Hinata and Naruto’s bond and shows them holding hands while being all bruised up. It’s a legendary moment in the animanga series, and the cover art is simply a cherry on the top. While being beautiful, the cover is also extremely painful to look at, as it shows Neji’s selfless sacrifice from the series.
7. Volume 43: The Man with the Truth
You may hate Sasuke if you want, but you can’t deny that the boy had an incredibly tough run. He spent most of his childhood hating Itachi and aiming to become strong enough to defeat him.
And when Sasuke does defeat Itachi, he learns about the ultimate sacrifice his big brother had to make for the sake of the Hidden Leaf Village. Defeating Itachi didn’t feel like a victory to Sasuke; in fact, it was a painful moment that made him even more bitter.
That is why the Naruto cover of Volume 43 speaks to fans so much, as we can hear Sasuke’s scream upon learning the truth and see Itachi trying to hold his little brother.
6. Volume 48: The Cheering Village
Manga fans think of Nagato (Pain) as the polar opposite of Naruto. In a sense, Naruto could’ve become Pain if he didn’t have the right people around him. Nagato and Naruto’s stories show how two people can take entirely different paths even after going through similar experiences.
They both were tutored by Jiraya in different eras and while one became the Hokage and epitome of good and hope, the other one became the symbol of destruction. The Naruto Cover art of Volume 48 is beautiful because it feels like a dream, the dream of seeing Naruto and Nagato together in their childhoods.
5. Volume 42: The Secret of the Mangekyo
Naruto and Jiraya shared a beautiful bond. In a way, Jiraya was like a father to Naruto, as the pervert sensei helped the boy truly understand his true potential.
Naruto never stayed with Jiraya as a student. Instead, the boy was always carefree with him. That is what we see in the cover art for Volume 42. While Naruto is drooling in his sleep Jiraya looks at him and enjoys the moment like a father figure.
4. Volume 60: Kurama
Tailed Beasts were beautiful creations that were separated for a good reason. However, there’s only one instance in the series when we see the Tailed Beasts together. We see them being tutored by the Sage of the Six Paths when they were quite young. That particular scene helped us understand these Beasts much better, making it an unforgettable moment in the series.
After that, we see them together in Volume 60’s cover art, which also reminds us that most of these Beasts are now gone. However, their hopes still reside inside of Naruto.

3. Volume 35: The New Two
Volume 35’s cover is fantastic to look at because it sort of reminds us how lazy Naruto can be when it comes to reading. He was a Lion when training and a polar bear when reading, and that is what this cover art represents.
Also, look at the incredible attention to detail on this Naruto cover art. You’ll find something new every time you look at it.
2. Volume 20: Naruto vs Sasuke
Naruto and Sasuke were always at each other’s throats from the very beginning. While their rivalry in Shippuden (filler episode list) became heartbreaking and painful, it was sort of cherished in the early stages of the story.
Even though they fought every time they were together, they never hated each other. It was always that friendly rivalry that always reminded us of our childhoods. Volume 20’s cover reminds us of the relationship between these two characters. Both are ready to bite each other like a couple of rowdy kids and show who’s better in terms of skills.
1. Volume 53: The Birth of Naruto
What’s better than the birth of our beloved protagonist, Naruto? Nothing. Naruto’s parents were snatched away from him right after he was born. The series takes several years to finally reveal to us that Minato and Kushina were Naruto’s parents, and they sacrificed their lives protecting the village.
Seeing Minato and Kushina holding Naruto in their arms always breaks our hearts, and Kishimoto wanted to replicate that feeling through Volume 53’s cover. Well, Kushimoto sensei, you did it. You successfully brought tears to our eyes and smile on our faces through this Naruto Cover art.
There are several more covers that Kushimoto drew for the Naruto series. While we think these are the best ones, each Naruto Cover art is beautiful in its own way. Apart from flaunting beautiful art, these covers tell or remind us of certain parts of the story.
