President Biden’s campaign will no longer feed media outlets questions for future interviews after it was embarrassingly outed for the practice on national television.
“While interview hosts have always been free to ask whatever questions they please, moving forward we will refrain from offering suggested questions,” a source familiar with Biden’s booking operation for media outlets told The Post Saturday.
The source’s comments came mere hours after a Philadelphia radio host revealed on CNN that the Biden campaign supplied her questions before the embattled 81-year-old appeared on her show.
Andrea Lawful-Sanders, the host of “The Source” on WURD, said she got a list of eight questions directly from the Biden campaign in advance for the interview Wednesday with the embattled Biden — which was meant to help convince panicked supporters, especially blacks, that the president’s disastrous debate performance was an anomaly.
She said she approved the eight questions, and four were chosen.
Biden stumbled repeatedly during the interview — bizarrely claiming he was proud to be “the first black woman to serve with a black president.”
He also made other nonsensical claims including: “I’m the first president that got elected statewide in the state of Delaware when I was a kid.”
What to know about the fallout from President Biden’s debate performance:
In addition, Biden repeatedly stumbled during his appearance on a second radio interview Wednesday for “The Earl Ingram Show” on WMCS in Milwaukee.
Ingram, who also appeared on CNN’s “First of All,” did not dispute Lawful-Sanders’ description of how Biden’s camp dictated the questions.
The Biden campaign later claimed it’s common to send interviewers suggested talking points.
“Hosts are always free to ask the questions they think will best inform their listeners,” Biden spokeswoman Lauren Hitt said in a statement.
The president appeared for pre-recorded interviews with both black radio stations in part to calm concerns among Democrats about his ability to serve another term in the White House.
However, the appearances only managed to raise even more questions about Biden’s cognitive ability.
