Born on January 15, 1972, Yohan Poonawalla is the chairman of Poonawalla Engineering Group and the director of the Poonawalla Stud Farms and Poonawalla Racing and Breeding. He is the son of Zavaray Poonawalla, the co-founder of the Serum Institute of India. The Poonawallas own one of the largest stud farms in Asia. Yohan Poonawalla is also a shareholder in Serum Institute of India.
Meanwhile, Yohan Poonawalla’s wife, Michelle Poonawalla, is a well-known socialite, artist, and philanthropist. Some of her prominent artworks include Monsoon Magic, Born Free and What if You Fly. One of her works, Introspection, was exhibited in Dubai and London.

Earlier this year, Yohan Poonawalla made headlines when he purchased Queen Elizabeth II‘s highly customised 2016 Range Rover SDV8 Autobiography LWB in a private deal for 224,850 pounds (approximately Rs 2.25 crore), bypassing the auction process on Bramley’s Auctioneers website, according to a Times of India report.
