‘Gilded Age’ stars host Bloomingdale’s party at NYFW

Bloomingdale's hosted a celebrity-studded party to celebrate the launch of “From Italy, With Love,” a two-month retail event that will celebrate the country's best fashion, design and cuisine.

Department store CEO Olivier Bron joined Air Mail editor Graydon Carter at a party held at the Academy Mansion in Manhattan on Thursday. The party was co-hosted by Isabella Rossellini and Stars of “The Gilded Age” Christine Baranski and Morgan Spector, and Bette Midler, “The Real Housewives of New York City” star Sai De Silva, attended. Tiffany Haddish​​Bijou Phillips, Nicky Hilton, Stacey Bendet, Ivy Getty and many more bold-facers.

The iconic retailer is unveiling more than 300 exclusive products from more than 150 labels, as well as nearly 30 brand new launches. A series of stylish in-store events include everything from Missoni customisation and embroidery activations to vintage photo booth pop-ups featuring Prada and Versace sunglasses.

“We’ve brought together the best Italian brands and some of our favorite partners to create a campaign that truly embodies Italy’s rich creativity and culture,” says Janelle Lloyd, Bloomingdale’s women’s fashion director.

For the first time, ready-to-wear is available in stores. La DoubleJFendi and Etro, as well as 10 new brands, including Il Bisonte and Artico. Finds include: exclusive pieces from Max Mara, Ferragamo And valentinoPlus a unique Giambattista Valli dress inspired by her love of travel.

The store will also feature exclusive collaborative pieces, such as AC Milano x Off White, Rag & Bone x Lucali, Daves New York x Roy Rogers, and Kartell x Missoni, as well as ten new brands including Galia Knitwear, Joshua Sanders, Il Bisonte, Artico, The Andaman, Vibi Venezia, and Paris Texas.

Bloomingdale's has created an installation in collaboration with the renowned Salone del Mobile Milano. Entitled “Italian Design: From Classic to Contemporary,” the installation showcases 23 Italian design brands that are exhibitors at the international furniture fair.

Still hungry? Head to Il Mercato, the Italian pantry on the main floor, where you'll find homemade pasta, delicious sauces, olive oils and coffee curated by partners such as De'Longhi, Il Buco Vita and Giadzi, tailored to the region.
