BTS Singer Suga Breaks Back Into The Top 10 In America

Like many of his bandmates, Suga is currently busy with his military service. It remains mandatory for all men in South Korea to spend more than a year in the army before they reach a certain age, and even the seven members of BTS aren’t excused from taking part. As fans wait for the singer to return to his music career, they have powered one of his solo cuts back onto the charts in the U.S.

“Snooze” by Suga returns to Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart this frame. The track currently appears at No. 6 on the list of the bestselling “world” tunes in the country.

Suga’s cut manages to find its way back to its previously-established peak on the World Digital Song Sales tally this frame. “Snooze” debuted, and stalled, at No. 6 when it was first new to the chart more than a year ago. It’s only spent two frames on the list, and somehow, they were both in the same slot.

“Snooze” was released under Suga’s alter ego, Agust D. He often uses that name when sharing music outside of his commitments with BTS. Suga has, from time to time, used his other musical moniker, though typically only when teaming up with other artists.

Suga is not alone in his returning win. “Snooze” credits both Woosung and the late Ryuichi Sakamoto, who join the BTS star inside the top 10. The song may have been pushed back to prominence after Sakamoto’s final album was released posthumously only recently.

“Snooze” is one of Suga’s 24 top 10 hits on the World Digital Song Sales chart. That sum includes only his solo smashes, and not his work with BTS, as the band has scored many, many more appearances inside the top 10 on the tally.

Suga’s “Snooze” is featured on his solo album D-Day, which still stands as his most recent solo offering. The project arrived in April 2023, and it helped him reach the top 10 on the Billboard 200 for the first time.

This week, “Snooze” is one of two returning wins on the World Digital Song Sales chart. Just one space above Suga and his collaborators comes “You Are The Almighty God” by Nikos & Pelagia Politis, which reappears at No. 5 after once climbing to the runner-up rung. The roster is led by a brand new No. 1 this frame, as Asake and Travis Scott debut their duet “Active” in first place.
