Can big butts trigger false alarms at airport security? One TSA agent thinks so

Talk about a bum rap.

Bootylicious travelers beware — your killer curves just might be triggering false alarms through airport security technology.

“My husband is a TSA agent, and he just told me that people with blessed posteriors set off the X-ray machine more often than not,” said haircare influencer Alyse Carolyn in a cheeky TikTok clip to more than 233,000 fanny fans.

“If you’ve got a fat a–,” said the amused blond in the viral video, “the next time you go to the airport, please tell me [if] you set off the X-ray machine.”

Representatives from the Transportation Security Administration did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

However, butts can be a key area of focus during pre-flight scanning, according to the authorities.

“You may be required to undergo a pat-down procedure if the screening technology alarms,” reads TSA.gov. “A pat-down may include inspection of … sensitive areas such as breasts, groin and the buttocks.”

And while it’s unclear whether a bountiful bottom is powerful enough to set off false TSA sirens, previous reporting from CNN revealed: “When you step into the body scanner, the technology scans you and indicates areas on the body warranting further inspection based on bulges or anomalies that don’t align with what the machine was taught … ”

Hulking heinies are ringing bells online, too.

A voluptuous vacationer gave fellow flyers an eyeful of her endowment in September. The buxom bombshell let her lower butt cheeks peek out of an orange mini dress while awaiting a Spirit Airlines flight out of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

Penny-pinching passenger Shewana McGee put her booty to work, too, in order to save some loot on a Frontier flight in October. The Alabama native removed a few articles of clothing from her over-stuffed suitcase and packed the excess pieces into her pants to create the illusion of a BBL (Brazilian butt lift).

“When you’re flying Frontier and they say your personal bag is too big,” joked McGee while striking a pose with her plump patootie for social media.

In response to Carolyn’s caboose claims, well-cushioned commenters confessed to accidentally tripping TSA gongs with their ample assets.

“Yes. It happens often. Always sets off the crotch area. Not every time but often enough,” admitted an audience member.

“It’s the sweat,” another noted. “Those machines detect extra body heat. More body, more heat.”

“Ever since my BBL, I start setting it off and I didn’t know why,” laughed a well-rounded tripper.
