Two people were killed when the driver of a car crashed into a Minnesota restaurant patio Sunday night, according to authorities.
Three other people were injured in the fatal crash, which occurred about 8 p.m. at the Park Tavern in St. Louis Park, the city's police force said. Said.
According to surveillance footage, the driver, only described as male, drove into the parking lot and attempted to park, and then drove into the courtyard, police said.
The motorist was arrested on a charge of criminal vehicular homicide, though further details about the incident were not immediately released.
The identities of the two deceased have also not been released.
According to local outlet Bring Me the News, patio furniture was thrown around and a car with front-end damage was parked in the southern portion of the outdoor space. Report.
The restaurant has been in operation for more than 60 years and describes itself as a “landmark” in the Minnesota city.

St. Louis Park police said the Minnesota State Patrol was on scene late Sunday to re-examine the crash, and the investigation is still ongoing.
