Chloe Trost is leaving “Saturday Night Live” after one season.
The 27-year-old comedian and actress revealed on social media Wednesday that her exit from the NBC sketch comedy series ahead of Season 50 “was not my choice.”
“Hey everybody! I just wanted to let you know that I will not be on 'SNL' next season,” she wrote In a TikTok video.
“It wasn't my choice, I wish I could have been there with my friends,” Trost said. “It really did feel like a second home. Thank you everyone. I love you all.”
Trost also shared the news Instagram,
“Unfortunately I was not invited back to SNL this season. I wish I could go back there with all my amazing friends, it would really feel like home. But it just wasn't possible,” she wrote.
“I want to thank everyone who supported me. Especially everyone who came to see my tour this summer, dressed up in character costumes and said such wonderful things. You mean everything to me. I hope I managed to spread joy and laughter, a lot of love.”
Trost joined “SNL” as a featured player for Season 49. She made her debut on the October 14, 2023, episode.
Fans were disappointed to hear that Trost had been fired from the show.
One person commented on Trost's TikTok, “There must be tea because this makes no sense. Like what actually happened???”
Someone else said, “Absolutely brilliant. Your first season was one of the strongest of any cast in a decade.”

Another viewer told Trost, “You were so refreshing, this doesn't even make sense.”
Trost is the third “SNL” star to recently announce her exit from the show. Punkie Johnson and Molly Kearney will also not be a part of Season 50.
Johnson, 39, made history by becoming the show's winner. She was the first openly gay black woman when she was cast in 2020In June he revealed he had decided to leave.

New players include Ashley Padilla, Emil Wakim and Jen Wickline.
“SNL” Season 50 premieres Sept. 28.
